It´s
very important that the bouquet doesn’t have any
leaves under water. If there are any, take them off.
Leaves under water start to rot away and contaminate
the water minimizing the duration of the flowers.
Change the water of the vase
every 3 days and cut a few centimeters up from the
base of the stem on a 45⁰ angle. When you cut the
stems at this angle the bouquet is able to absorb the
water while it leans on the vase.
You can add either a couple
spoons of sugar, or saccharin or an aspirin to the
water. This provides the bouquet energy and induces
the cellular respiration process and extends the
duration time.
Keep them away from chimneys,
heating sources, electronic devices such as TVs,
computers, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.
Avoid direct exposure to the sun and try to place the flowers in the coolest room or area of the house.
